The IDA works in conjunction with the County Department of Economic Development to build a sustainable future for Delaware County. We strive to meet the needs of new and existing businesses through expertise, financial assistance and continued support. The IDA offers a variety of programs and performance based incentives to encourage businesses to expand or locate within the County and create new jobs.

The IDA also focuses on the future through efforts to stimulate the development of new local industries. The current economic development priorities of the IDA include:

Community Revitalization

  • Economic Diversification Through Technology
  • Redevelopment of the Historic Catskill’s Tourism Industry
  • Promotion of the Agricultural & Natural Resource Industries
  • Development of “shovel ready” sites for new manufacturing and commercial enterprises.
  • The goal of the IDA is to enhance economic vitality throughout Delaware County.
