Business Start-up Support
Those with a business idea will find services available through the Delaware County Department of Economic Development that ensure the successful move through the process of creating a business. Guides such as the Business Start-up Guide can help you begin mapping your route to success, the Microenterprise Business Training program can provide information and hands on training in skillsets commonly used in the creation and daily operation of a business, and the economic development staff is available to assist you throughout the entire process. Additionally, the Small Business Administration provides a good overview of many of the things you need to consider when starting a new business, and the NYS Online Permit Assistance and Licensing system is available to help research and apply for any permits and licenses applicable to your business.

Delaware County eCenter
The Department of Economic Development is also partner in the Delaware County eCenter, a business incubator and resource center providing additional learning opportunities and business support services. We will develop additional educational programs if we receive suggestions/feedback from businesses.
